  2. plastic?????? Review by Makila Nsika -

Why? compostable plastic in cardboard box could probably work ???? (Posted on 10/11/2019)

  3. Packaging .... Review by Happy Planet Green Store -

Any further on with packing this in a replacement for plastic bags???????
A cardboard box would be PERFECT!
Good quality paper for the price though. (Posted on 27/08/2019)

  4. Too much plastic Review by The Refilling Station -

Wrapped in plastic then in another big plastic bag! Try a box?? (Posted on 15/04/2019)

  5. toilet paper wrapped in plastic????????????????????? Review by Alligator

You must be aware that there is a mass movement of people who are demanding no plastic. Your earlier reply about bio plastic film not being strong enough for the bulk packs is basically dodging the question....Why not pack in cardboard??? Does it cost too much??? Does it take up too much room in the warehouse???? Does it's weight add too much to the freight cost?? Do you have too many bulk packs made or under contract to be made that you can't consider cardboard until you have sold existing stock?? If you can answer some or all of these questions then I could explain to customers. You must know there's a brand called "Who gives a crap"....who pack their rolls in cardboard but I suspect it is made a long way away....do you know where it is manufactured?? I guess this is not a review but a long comment..hope that's allowed... Regards Alligator Wholefoods...ps the bog rolls are fine for the purpose intended. (Posted on 20/10/2018)

  6. Love the product, hate the plastic! Review by Michelle

I've been buying this for some years and it's great paper (it seems that Suma have listened to customers because I've found that the sheets have got thicker since I first started buying them as well as smoother) but I really don't like the enormous plastic bag that they come in :( Some of the european organic frozen veg come in recyclable plastic bags that are thick and strong - surely that would be better as a packaging option? My favourite suggestion is the cardboard/paper option! I would love to buy these in something that can be compostable, is bio-degradable and can be recycled!! (Posted on 13/06/2018)

  7. Product ok but too much plastic Review by A

Loo roll is fine, does the job. Like buying in bulk so don’t run out.

But is there any way to reduce the amount of plastic packaging though? In cardboard? (Posted on 28/01/2018)

  8. Best recycled one I've found Review by Meg

I will not use non-recycled paper as looroll and find this the best of the bunch of recycled ones. Have used it for years. (Posted on 07/08/2017)

  9. Disintergrates too easily Review by Linda Norris -

Now needs to be a bit stronger (seems to have got worse in the last year or so) (Posted on 12/07/2017)

  10. Good product but doesn't come in compostable wrap Review by Antonia Pickup -

I ordered this having previously had the smaller packs. I was disappointed that it came wrapped in normal plastic. One of the things I really appreciate about the product is that the packing is compostable. Please repackage it so I can buy it again :). the individual smaller packs are in compostable packaging, but then wrapped altogether in normal plastic. Would it not be possible to use compostable packaging for the larger packs too, otherwise it seems to go against what the compostable packaging says about the environmental impact of this product.

    reply

Unfortunately the Bioplast compostable film is difficult to seal and we have had problems with them splitting open in the past on small packs. For this reason it is not suitable for holding the weight in a bulk pack. (Posted on 23/01/2017)
