  1. it'll do the job Review by Karen Williams -

We're not vegetarian and this is our go-to meat substitute for mince. It's perfectly acceptable to my meat eating children and makes up two thirds of our mince requirements. Whilst acknowledging that some of the colourings might not be as environmentally and person friendly as others, we would rather eat those than eat meat everytime we want a meal with mince. It's great in the cupboard - to be able to make bolognese with long life store cupboard staples is fab. (Posted on 14/11/2020)

  2. Avoid this colouring Review by Peter Lennard -

Very disappointing to see Suma going down the route of selling a fairly basic if processed food not only with a totally unnecessary additive, but with a particularly nasty version of that additive, caramel made using ammonia and sulphites (E150d). I was looking for soya mince and would have bought this, had it not been for the colouring. Can Suma not find an uncoloured version? For more information see: (Posted on 06/10/2017)

  3. Basic staple - but not if you get migraines Review by Thames Valley Veggies -

This is a basic TVP mince. It is too fine grained to provide much texture, so I recommend when making a bolognaise mixing it with 50% cooked green/speckled lentils.
However, I have only just noticed that it contains caramel, which explains why I've been getting so many migraines lately. It's off the shopping list now. It's a shame there isn't a non-coloured alternative.
If you want a really luxurious veggie mince, try the Vbites chilled one. (Posted on 01/03/2016)
